About Derrick:

I was born in Nashville and have lived in several different cities across Middle TN. I graduated from Belmont University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism. After college, I worked as a writer, web designer and videographer/YouTuber. During my time as a videographer, I created a wide variety of videos for my clients, from water sports to real estate walk-through videos, as well as entertaining content for my YouTube channels. Several of my YouTube videos went viral, garnering millions of views on the social platform. That helped broaden my understanding of marketing and how to advertise to a mass audience. After gaining knowledge about the business from shooting real estate videos for clients, I decided to join the real estate industry as a Realtor with Blackwell Realty and Auction. I’ve now been in the real estate business for years and love what I do. I’ve helped multiple individuals and families buy and sell homes all across Middle TN and I’d love to put my knowledge and skills to use for you as well.
